DAY 1: Nairobi

 

 

Arrive at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and met by our representative and briefed  about the safari. Check in at the  hotel in Nairobi booked  on a bed and breakfast basis. Tour Nairobi City visiting places of interest and landmarks like the Parliament buildings, Bomas of Kenya and the National Museum. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. (dinner, breakfast the following day shall be provided



 

 

DAY 2: Nairobi - Amboseli National Park

 

 

After an early breakfast depart for Amboseli National Park arriving at Amboseli  lodge or tented camp in time for lunch.  Go for an afternoon game drive until dusk. Dinner and overnight at tented camp or lodge (breakfast, lunch, tea/coffees & dinner shall be provided on this day).  Distance 250 km, approx transit time 4hrs.



 

 

 

 

 

DAY 3: Amboseli National Park



Full day at Amboseli with two games drives.

Amboseli National Park offers the best view of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest mountain.






It’s a sight to behold to see the top of the mountain hovering over the clouds in early morning. The park is hot and dry with fragile savanna and semi – arid acacias. It is also renown for large elephant herds with massive tusks. Lions, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests and over 300 bird species also found here. Dinner and overnight the tented camp or lodge. (breakfast, lunch, tea/coffees & dinner shall be provided on this day).  




 DAY 4:  Amboseli – Lake Nakuru National Park




After breakfast, depart for the Lake Nakuru National park. Lunch at the lodge or tented camp. Go for an afternoon game drive until dusk.






Lake Nakuru claim to fame is the millions of Greater and Lesser flamingos that found at the lake. From a distance, the lake looks ringed in pink. The abundance of these birds is due to the alkaline mineral salts in the water, which support vast blooms of the blue-green algae and diatoms on which the flamingoes feed. It was also the first sanctuary for the endangered black and white rhinos. It’s also home to the threatened Rothschild giraffe. Lions, water buck, buffaloes, baboons and over 400 bird species are found here. Dinner and overnight at lodge or tented camp.lodge (breakfast, lunch, tea/coffees & dinner shall be provided on this day).

 DAY 5:  Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara Game Reserve



After breakfast, depart for Masai Mara Game Reserve arriving in time for lunch at the lodge or tented camp in Masai Mara. Go for an afternoon game drive until dusk. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or tented camp.lodge (breakfast, lunch, tea/coffees & dinner shall be provided on this day).

 DAY 6:  Masai Mara Game Reserve




After breakfast, take packed lunch and go for full day game drive. 

The Masai Mara is home to over 3 million animals with the big five found here.





Also, over 400 bird species have been recorded including migratory birds with 57 species of birds of prey. The gentle rolling grasslands ensure the animals are never out of sight. Go to the Mara River to see the many crocodiles and hippos found here. Breakfast, lunch and dinner at the lodge or tented camp.

 DAY 7:  Masai Mara Nairobi



After breakfast, depart for Nairobi arriving in the afternoon. Transfer to the Airport for your flight back home. (breakfast and lunch shall be provided on this day)

Dinner and overnight at a  Lodge or tented camp.  (lunch, tea/coffees & dinner shall be provided on this day)

Distance 360km, approx transit time 5 ½ hrs.

 

 

 

DAY 2: SAMBURU GAME RESERVE:

 

 

 

Full day at Samburu Game Reserve with two game drives. At Samburu, you will see animals found only on the northern hemisphere like the reticulated giraffe, the gravy’s zebra, the blue- legged Somali ostrich and the long necked gerenuk gazelle. Lions, elephants, buffalos, zebras, leopards and over 300 bird species are found here also.

 

 

The Ewaso Nyiro River also passes through the reserve which is home to many hippos and log -looking crocodiles. The Ololokwe table mountain is also visible in the back ground. (breakfast, lunch, tea/coffees & dinner shall be provided on this day). Dinner and overnight at the lodge or tented camp.
